چکیده
The particular interest produced by the seismological characteristics impacting structural response has given a new challenge in performance-based design of high dams. Recent research shown that frequency and amplitude inherent ground motion (GM) records govern dynamic Therefore, these have been accepted incorporated into seismic codes dams most countries. However, duration strong GMs, as one critical earthquakes, also needs to be fully understood carry out more effective Based on this observation, effect GMs explored, investing performance asphalt concrete core rockfill (ACCRDs) employing an integrated (ID) concept can reflect all components GMs. A ACCRD was firstly built commercial software ABAQUS considering dam-reservoir-foundation interaction systems. Subsequently, coupled multiple stripe analysis maximum likelihood estimate method generate fragility curves for dam according two damage indicators. Comparison results revealed longer-duration could give rise higher relative settlement ratio, stress demand-capacity ratios, probability exceedance (POE) than shorter-duration It is recommended current evaluation, effects GM duration, frequency, should considered.

Optimal duration of clopidogrel therapy: the shorter the longer?
After the initial enthusiasm for drug-eluting stents (DES) based on their impressive reduction in restenosis, there was increasing concern about an increased and sustained risk for stent thrombosis (Figure 1). Consequently, the recommendation for the duration of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) was gradually extended from initially 3 months for sirolimus-eluting stents (SES) and 6 months for pa...

This study deals with the dynamic behavior of the kavar concrete Abstract face rockfill damwhich is the first dam of this type to be const ructed in a highly active seismic prone area, situated in the state of Fars southern part of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The finite elementmethod was used as a tool to carry out this study. The finite element discretization was carriedout under plane strain...

Settlement is one of the most important deformation characteristics of high concrete faced rockfill dams (CFRDs, >100 m). High CFRDs safety would pose a great threat to the security of people’s lives and property downstream if this kind of deformation were not to be measured correctly, as traditional monitoring approaches have limitations in terms of durability, coverage, and efficiency. It has...
متن کاملSeismic Behavior and Dissipated Plastic Energy of Performance-Based-Designed High-Rise Concrete Structures with Considering Soil–Structure Interaction Effect
Since the structure and foundation are built on soil, the soil is the major platform by which seismic vibrations are transmitted to the structure, and has noticeable effects on the response and behavior of structure during earthquakes. In this research, the recently introduced Performance-based plastic design (PBPD) and its modified Performance-based plastic design (MPBPD) method in which soil ...
متن کاملOptimal Duration of Dual Antiplatelet Therapy After Implantation of Drug-Eluting Stents: Shorter or Longer?
Use of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT; the combination of aspirin and an inhibitor of platelet P2Y12) is the key pharmacological component in the management of acute coronary syndrome and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with stent implantation, but the optimal treatment duration is still unclear. Although current guidelines recommend prescription of DAPT for at least 12 months after i...
